Secret Exposed: Twins are synonymous with easy-peasy

Once one gets past the stage where twins are a shrieking, needy tag-team (I hear that happens some time around age 30), they are really quite a breeze. I'm sure my twin mom friends will want to hang me for saying so, but if you want to cruise down parenting Easy Street, have multiples.

See for yourself and decide if I'm delusional or not by reading my guest post at Mommy Shorts.

Fine, it's not that easy. So a sympathy click on the banner below is the least your can do to comfort me.

  1. I SO agree with this! But, I do hate when people say, "I had two close in age, it's similar to having twins." Uh....no it's not.

    1. I agree! I like to respond with "until you have nursed 2 babies at 1 time, it's not similar"

    3. It's not the same. But I will give them this, it's also annoying to have to buy for kids of different ages. My twins are both girls and the same size. Makes clothes shopping much easier.

  2. Hilarious post! As a mom of twin toddlers, I'm starting to see the payoff of two at once after their First Year Alive, which will always be in all caps in my mind...

    1. All caps, for sure. That first year was nutso. I came downstairs one morning, quietly crying and the Hubs asked me what was up. I said, "I get no joy from them."

Clearly that's changed, but I was in the throes of feed, burp, change, wait 30 minutes, do it again. Times two. But you know that story.

    1. It's not easy, but having babies never is, one or 8. It is a pretty fantastic experience, all told. Good luck! Try to keep laughing, and remember, it gets better. All you are required to do is survive. That's all it takes.
